The mission of the Liaquat College of Medicine & Dentistry is to produce outstanding, compassionate, and skillful graduates in the field of Dentistry, who can practice evidence-based dentistry, professionalism, leadership, advocacy, social responsiveness and are life-long learners.
The four year BDS undergraduate program intends to produce graduates who are capable to:
1. Demonstrate a high level of clinical proficiency in performing a wide range of dental procedures including diagnosis, treatment planning and execution of dental treatments.
2. Provide patient-centered care, showing empathy, compassion and respect for patients’ needs and concerns, and effectively communicate treatment options and plans.
3. Adhere to the highest ethical standards in dental practice, maintaining integrity, honesty and confidentiality while fostering trust and professionalism in their interactions with patients and colleagues.
4. Assume leadership roles with in their dental practices or in dental organizations, as well as collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
5. Exhibit a commitment to lifelong learning by actively engaging in continuing education, staying current with advancements in dental science and technology, and seeking opportunities to enhance their skills.
6. Actively engage in their local communities to promote oral health awareness, provide dental care to underserved populations, and contribute to the betterment of oral healthcare on a broader scale.
7. Critically evaluate and apply scientific research to their clinical practice ensuring evidence-based decision making and continuous improvement in patient care.
8. Possess basic knowledge and skills in practice management, including financial management, regulatory compliance, and ethical billing practices.
9. Demonstrate strong communication skills, both with patients and within the dental team, fostering effective teamwork and patient education.
10. Strive to achieve positive patient outcomes, including improved oral health, patient satisfaction, and the prevention or early detection of dental diseases.
I started my job in this institute as a dental assistant in March 2003 then I was encouraged to become a dentist. I took the chance for post graduation and did my MCPS training in Oral Surgery and passed in 2020 from CPSP. I really appreciate as a whole institute they provide me nurturing environment under the supervision of visionary Mentors
Life at LCMD has always been an overwhelming experience as it provided the opportunity to nurture under the supervision of visionary mentors. What makes it stands out is the focus of the college to not only work on academics but also one’s professional and personal growth.
Finding the right path to success at the right time is really very important and for that way I had selected LCMD. The Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) has approved the Policy & Criteria for admission in BDS.
Minimum 60% marks Intermediate Premedical from a recognized Pakistani Board / Equivalent (A Levels)
50% marks on the national MDCAT 2023 as per PMDC.
