QEC Meeting on PREE Aligned with JSMU Standards
Embarking on a New Journey of Excellence with PREE The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC, College of Medicine) LCMD organized a meeting on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, to discuss the Program Review for Effectiveness & Enhancement (PREE) in alignment with the standards of Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU). The session was attended by Heads of Academic Departments (Basic and Clinical) and representatives from key academic and administrative units, including the Library, Skills Lab, Examination Department, HR, Curriculum Committee, Research Cell, Biomedical, CME, Director Academics (COM), Maintenance, IT, Student Affairs/Counselling, and the Emergency Department. Coordinators and Associate Coordinators of all five MBBS years were also present. Prof. Dr. Asif Qureshi, HOD Surgery & Allied and Vice Principal, College of Medicine, LCMD, also participated. The meeting commenced with a brief introductory welcome and statement of purpose by Dr. Zakia Bano, after which the proceedings were handed over to Dr. Abeer. Dr. Abeer Athar Khan delivered a detailed presentation outlining the eight PREE standards to be prepared and submitted to JSMU in the coming month. The meeting concluded with a healthy and constructive discussion. It was shared that QEC will circulate relevant documents to concerned departments and will remain available for guidance and clarification, ensuring timely and effective support.
